Continental K9, LLC

Continental K-9 was created in 2022 by Steve Pearson and Marcel Dulansky. Pearson is the owner of Performance Kennels Inc. located in Buffalo, MN. Pearson started working with police service dogs as a handler in 1988. He later became the trainer and supervisor of the K-9 unit for his police agency in the Minneapolis, MN area. After nearly 30 complete years Pearson retired from the police department and began running Performance Kennels full-time.

Marcel Dulansky is a resident of the Slovak Republic. Marcel is the owner of Slovak Working Dogs s.r.o. and has been in the dog business for over 30 years. Although Marcel is a world-class decoy, his specialty is breeding, selecting, and preparing young dogs to become world-class police dogs. Pearson and Dulansky have teamed up to create a company that can combine the law enforcement experience that Pearson brings with the experience and K-9 selection expertise that Dulansky brings. Dulansky’s breeding stock, kennels, and staff are all on the Continental K-9 team. Some American importers of police dogs claim to have special relationships with European kennels. At Continental K-9, we actually own our kennels in Slovakia.

Contrary to the claims of others, you will never see our business advertise or promote unrealistic numbers of “world class dogs” waiting in our kennels for you to test. This is dishonest and naïve. If you want to test 20 or more dogs in your search to find the best dog for your agency you should find a different vendor. Like 9/11, the Covid-19 pandemic delivered a destructive blow to the supply of high-quality green dogs worldwide. Our goal is quality, not quantity. We can provide high-quality green dogs or dogs with some obedience training. We also offer decoy and tracking seminars. All of our customers are encouraged to contact us early with your K-9 needs. We want as much lead time as possible so that we are able to provide you with the best possible dogs that will meet or exceed your requirements.
